Support for Safari Montage Schools

The Office of Curriculum, Instruction and Student Support (OCISS), Extended Learning Opportunities and Student Support Section (ELOSS) and Safari Montage have partnered together to provide the following resources to schools that are using Safari Montage.

Safari Montage WAN Manager
The Safari Montage WAN Manager allow schools to receive video programs developed by the Hawaii DOE. Once in place, the ELOSS section will be able to upload and send video programs like, "KidPhysics", "Say It In Chinese" and other original programs to schools using Safari Montage.

Managed Home Access Streamer
The Safari Montage Home Access Streamer allows schools to access their video streaming content from home.

ELOSS is in the process of installing and working out the technical issues to make these two products operational. An update will be provided once it is ready. The main purpose for this is cost savings and efficiency. The WAN Manager allows existing video content to be distributed in this new format and the Managed Home Access Streamer allows access from home from one central location in the department rather than schools having to purchase their own server for this service.
